NIS EXPRESS in the Inland Northwest region seeks CDL-A holders starting as trainees. You'll train with an experienced driver on real freight, earning weekly pay from day one, then advance to your own truck after certification.

Expect around 2,000 miles per week, home every two weeks, and a path from trainee to solo driver with guaranteed weekly pay during training and a first-month ramp. The role emphasizes safety and steady long-haul runs.

Qualifications

• CDL-A required to start; no experience needed, paid training with a driver trainer.
• 21 years or older; able to pass DOT physical and drug screen.
• 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school; paid training while you learn.

Responsibilities

• Drive dry van freight on long, steady miles with a trainer.
• Ride with a trainer on real loads and get paid weekly during training.

Have your CDL-A but no driving experience yet? This is where you start. Spokane drivers can start with a fleet that hires out of the Inland Northwest, trains new CDL holders on real freight and pays them every week from day one.

How You Start

• Ride with an experienced driver trainer on real loads
• Paid $900 every week during training
• Move into your own truck on full pay once your trainer signs off
• $1,000 per week guaranteed for your first 3 months of solo driving

The Job

• Dry van freight, long runs with steady miles
• Around 2,000 miles per week
• Home every 2 weeks
• Hiring from the Spokane, Tri-Cities, Lewiston and Boise areas

Pay

• Average weekly earnings of $1,400
• Standard mileage pay scale that grows with experience
• Up to 6 cents per mile extra in performance bonus
• $15 stop pay

Two Ways to Start

• CDL-A in hand, no experience: 120+ hours from an accredited CDL school. Paid training with a driver trainer, paid every week while you learn.
• Experienced drivers: 6 months OTR in the last 12 months, or 12 months in the last 5 years. Skip training and go straight to your own truck.

Everyone Needs

• Class A CDL, 21 or older
• No more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• Able to pass a DOT physical and drug screen
• Live within 100 miles of a hiring city in the Inland Northwest
