Job summary

American Driver LLC seeks CDL-A drivers, including new entrants, to run Sandusky County routes with preloaded trailers and the same lanes each week. You’ll be home weekly and orientation is in Columbus with about two days of training on the road.

Expect about 2,200 miles weekly, pay starting at $0.60 per mile rising to $0.70 with experience, plus $25 for extra stops. Orientation pays $300; after 30 days you gain medical, dental, vision, Rx, 401(k), PTO, and a tuition-free online degree for you

• Valid Class A CDL, 21 or older.
• New driver with 120 hours of CDL school, or 6 months of recent experience.
• Record: no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years, no DUI/DWI in 10.
• DOT physical and drug screening (hair and urine).

• Drop and hook at most deliveries and stay on the same weekly lanes.

Your paycheck

• $1,400 average per week
• $0.60 per mile to start, rising to $0.70 with experience
• $25 for each extra stop
• $850 a week while you train

Your first six weeks

It starts with a phone call. Our recruiter checks your license and record with you up front. Orientation is in Columbus, takes 2 days at most, and pays $300 once you are hired. Then 4 to 6 weeks on the road with a trainer beside you while you learn backing, trip planning, logs and fueling. Then the truck is yours.

Good to know

Some loads run to Georgia and back. Cold weather driving and changing routes come with the territory. Day and night dispatches.
