Job summary

SpartanNash Military is seeking a dedicated CDL A driver in Oklahoma City to safely operate tractor-trailers on scheduled routes and deliver products to customers. You will assist with unloading, obtain delivery confirmations, and complete required paperwork in a DOT-regulated environment.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL, at least one year of experience, and the ability to work up to 60 hours weekly including nights and weekends. Strong communication and safety focus are essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED (preferred)
• Valid Class A CDL
• At least 1 year CDL A driving experience
• Must pass DOT physical examination and DOT pre-employment drug test
• Must be able to work up to 60 hours per week including nights and weekends
• Good communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions
• Good organizational, prioritization and attention to detail skills
• Good customer service skills
• Ability to read maps, route schedules, and operate vehicles in various conditions
• Knowledge of federal regulations and DOT guidelines

Responsibilities

• Safely drive commercial truck with trailer(s) on designated route to deliver products per schedule; may perform out-of-town deliveries
• Maintain DOT logs or electronic logging device and delivery documentation
• Assist to unload and verify correct products, obtain delivery confirmation and customer signature
• Inform management of deviations and invoice discrepancies; handle damaged goods and returns
• Report unsafe unloading conditions to dispatcher/supervisor
• Perform pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per DOT regulations
• Review itinerary and route details; connect preloaded trailers; maintain trailer temperature if required
• Unload damaged or returned products and complete paperwork; secure trailers and refuel
• Coordinate with dispatcher for maintenance and repairs; document issues
• Provide quality customer service at each location and note service issues for resolution
• Additional duties as needed
