Job summary

SpartanNash is seeking a dedicated Driver to safely operate commercial trucks on designated routes, delivering to multiple customers while maintaining DOT compliance and accurate logs.

Responsibilities include loading/unloading, paperwork, and providing excellent customer service. Strong preference for a valid CDL-A, 1+ year experience, and the ability to work up to 60 hours weekly, including nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is preferred.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Minimum 1 year of CDL A driving experience.
• Must pass DOT physical examination and random drug tests.
• Able to work up to 60 hours per week, including nights and weekends.
• Strong communication skills and ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
• Ability to read maps and use GPS.
• Basic computer skills and willingness to travel overnight.

Responsibilities

• Safely drive commercial truck on designated route to deliver products per schedule.
• Assist to unload at delivery locations and obtain delivery confirmation.
• Maintain DOT logs and other delivery documentation.
• Perform pre- and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Coordinate with dispatcher for route details and paperwork.
• Provide quality customer service at every delivery location.
• Report deviations, damaged goods, or returns.
• Carry out routine vehicle maintenance as needed.
