Job summary

R+L Carriers is seeking a CDL-A City P&D Driver for our Maybrook, NY Service Center. This full-time local role starts at $37.94 per hour and keeps you home every day, with M-F shifts and multiple stops daily.

You will deliver and pick up freight, use scanning equipment, and perform liftgate deliveries with an electric pallet jack. Qualifications include a valid CDL-A, at least one year of verifiable driving in the last three years, and a clean MVR/PSP.

Qualifications

• CDL Class A license required.
• 1 year of verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years.
• Valid DOT medical card and drug screen.
• Good MVR/PSP with limited violations.
• Must pass road test.
• Age 23 (21 if military transition).
• Must be able to operate equipment safely.

Responsibilities

• Local city delivery and pickup of freight with multiple stops.
• Return to the terminal daily.
• Work with scanning equipment and customers.
• Complete potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

CDL-A Truck Driver Local, Starting at $37.94 hr

Maybrook, NY Service Center

As a City P&D Driver you will be responsible for city delivery and pickup of freight and returning to the terminal daily. This includes multiple stops per working day, working with scanning equipment, working directly with customers, and completing potential liftgate deliveries using an electric pallet jack.

Requirements

• CDL Class A


• 1 yr. combined verifiable Class A driving experience within the past 3 years


• Good driving record / MVR and PSP, with no commercial serious violations and no more than 3 moving violations total within the past 3 years.


• Age 23, 21 if successfully met the FMCSA specs to transition from military to civilian CDL


• Must be able to operate equipment safely at all times


• Must be able to pass pre-employment DOT Physical and drug screen


• Must be able to complete a successful road test


• Must be able to bend, lift and stoop without difficulty


• Must be dependable

Preferred

• Drivers with Doubles/Triples, Tanker, and Haz-mat CDL endorsements


• Experienced hauling Haz-mat


• Local delivery experience


• LTL experience


• Electric pallet jack experience
