Job summary

Pitney Bowes Reading Presort Services is seeking a CDL A Truck Driver Floater. This full-time role covers multiple routes and 1st, 2nd and 3rd shifts with 40 hours weekly and overtime potential.

You will operate tractor‑trailers, straight trucks and vans, support vacation coverage, and maintain logs, schedules, and safety compliance. Local routes span PA/NJ/MD/VA/NY/DE with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Minimum 21 years of age or older.
• Valid Class A CDL and DOT requirements.
• Minimum 6 months verifiable trucking experience in the last five years.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs and operate various vehicle types.
• Must be able to work overtime, including weekends/holidays.
• Basic understanding of English for safety directions.

Responsibilities

• Maintain daily driver logs or route sheets and track mileage.
• Meet pickup and delivery schedules using designated software.
• Keep vehicles and work areas clean and safe.
• Follow safety and security precautions and company policies.
• Use required mobile/apps for operations.

Job description

Join Pitney Bowes for a CDL A Truck Driver, Floater for our Reading, Pennsylvania Presort Services facility. This is a full-time job where you will receive 40 hours per week with the possibility of overtime.

Your hourly pay will be $29 paid weekly with the possibility of overtime.

This is for a floater position. You will provide coverage across multiple routes and 1st, 2nd and 3rd shift schedules. Here is an example of several route schedules:

• 1st shift: The route can start between 3:45AM – 10AM and end between 12PM – 5PM
• 2nd shift: The route can start after 10AM
• 3rd shift: The route can start at 8:15PM and ends around 3:30AM

There are routes that start earlier and end later than the routes listed. This role encompasses 25 routes for all 3 shifts.

You will support driver vacations, unplanned coverage needs, and ad hoc customer pickups. The position requires flexibility and the ability to operate several types of vehicles as operational demands change such as tractor‑trailers, straight trucks, and vans.

Your local delivery areas include but not limited to the following states: Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, New York, and Delaware.

What You Will Do:

• Maintains a daily driver’s log or route sheet for mileage, stops and cargo, or utilization of ELD system.
• Maintains pickup and delivery schedules meeting deadlines utilizing software tools.
• Keeps vehicle and work area clean.
• Knows and understands safety and security precautions and follows company policies.
• Uses all required cell phone applications.
• Demonstrates safety and security precautions and follows company policies.

You Will Bring:

• Minimum 21 years in age.
• Valid Class A License and meet applicable DOT requirements for CDL.
• Minimum of 6-months of verifiable driving experience in the last five years driving a Tractor Trailer (Semi) truck with safe driving record. You will also drive a Straight truck and Sprinter Van.
• Ability to lift at least 50 lbs., walk, stand, stoop and bend with or without accommodations.
• Must have the ability to work mandatory overtime that may include weekends, holidays and or a different shift with little or no advance notice.
• Candidates must have a basic enough understanding of English to be able to understand and follow safety and other operational directions communicated in English, irrespective of their native language.
