Job summary

Boise Cascade is seeking a professional truck driver to deliver building products and maintain a safe, efficient fleet. The role requires a Class A CDL, two years of driving experience, and adherence to DOT regulations. You will load and unload as needed, secure cargo, and document trips, contributing to safety and quality standards.

The position emphasizes safe operation, thorough pre/post-trip inspections, and keeping accurate logs while supporting continuous process improvements across routes.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma, GED, or two years of equivalent work experience.
• Valid Class A CDL and ability to safely operate tractor-trailer.
• Two years truck driving experience required.
• Working knowledge of DOT regulations and Boise Cascade driver qualifications.
• Ability to perform duties in all weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Deliver and distribute building products to assigned customers.
• Ensure safe loading, handling, and transportation of materials and heavy cargo.
• Drive truck following commercial driving regulations and maneuver in difficult situations.
• Complete necessary paperwork and relay customer questions or complaints to supervisor.
• Inspect truck for defects before and after trips and submit reports on condition.
• Maintain vehicle in safe operating condition including fueling and routine maintenance.
• Maintain logs and records according to DOT regulations.
• Assist loading/unloading and secure cargo for transit.
• Keep truck clean and maintain good housekeeping in work area.
• Demonstrate commitment to safety, quality, environmental awareness, and continuous improvement.
