Job description

Description

A truck driver is responsible for transporting goods from one location to another. Truck drivers must possess a CDL-A and be knowledgeable in all traffic laws. They should expect to work long hours and drive long distances. Our drivers must also have excellent communication and customer service skills, as they will communicate with clients during pickup/delivery and coordinate with the dispatching team.

Responsibilities

• Perform daily pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections per procedure.
• Complete deliveries and pickups as scheduled.
• Follow delivery instructions and loading procedures safely and incident-free.
• Complete and submit paperwork daily.
• Input information into digital recordkeeping systems.

Requirements

• Ability to speak and read English.
• Class A Commercial Driver’s License.
• Ability to pass DOT physical and drug/alcohol tests.
• Ability to complete a Post-Offer / Pre-Employment Physical Test.
• Ability to pass background checks.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs. and operate hand trucks and electric pallet jacks.
• Willing to work extended hours, including 2-3 nights on the road and weekends as necessary.
