Job description

We are looking for CLASS A - Delivery Drivers who are flexible and open to making multi-yard stops and routes throughout the week. These Drivers relish the chance to push their potential, grow, and reap the rewards of joining the US FOODS family. This role requires commuting/travel to various assigned yards to get the routes started. [commute/travel times may vary]

Main Ingredients of the Job

As a US FOODS Delivery Driver, you will be critical to the US FOODS team and a key face of our organization. You will impact our customers by delivering meats, produce, frozen goods, groceries, dry goods, equipment, and supplies to their drop-off sites. Your efforts are the foundation of US FOODS' success, based on our cultural pillars of work ethic, collaboration, and service.

  1. Deliver exceptional customer service.
  2. Meet scheduled delivery times and maintain productivity.
  3. Unload products with a hand truck and place items in the customer storage area.
  4. Perform manual heavy lifting of items up to 80 pounds repeatedly.
  5. Make frequent stops during a work shift.
  6. Deliver in inclement weather conditions.
  7. Verify delivery of items with customers.
  8. Collect payments (cash or checks) where applicable.
Schedule
  • 1st Shift, start times between 1am - 6am based on route assignment.
  • Schedules may include weekends.
  • Routes may alternate weekly and cover multiple yards including the Woodburn Distribution Center.
  • Commute times may vary based on route assignment.
Compensation & Benefits

The base pay ranges from $29.41 to $32.68 per hour, depending on experience, education, skills, and location. Overtime pay is also available.

  • Local routes, some overnight stays required.
  • Early morning work schedule.

Qualifications
  • At least 21 years old.
  • Valid CDL Class A license with endorsements and DOT qualifications.
  • High school diploma or GED preferred.
  • No more than two traffic violations in the past two years, no DUI in the past three years, and no license suspensions in the past three years.
  • Minimum six months of commercial driving experience or three months in food and beverage delivery.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical.
