Are you looking for an exciting career with a nationally known industry leader? AmeriGas Propane is searching for an energetic, customer service-oriented individual to join us as a Transport Driver.

Responsibilities:

As a Transport Driver, you will operate a tanker truck (11,400-gallon capacity) to pick up propane at supply points such as refineries, pipeline terminals, or storage facilities, and deliver it to local AmeriGas facilities. You will make four to five pick-ups and deliveries daily, driving approximately 500 miles per day, and working up to 14 hours. About 80% of your time will be spent driving or waiting in line at supply points. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Driving the tanker truck to pick up propane and delivering to AmeriGas facilities; loading or unloading takes approximately 45 minutes.
• Attaching terminal hoses to truck connections to pump propane into the tanker.
• Using hoses stored on the truck or attached to filling ports to unload the tanker. Hoses are either 20 feet long and 3 inches in diameter or 19 feet long and 1½ inches in diameter.
• Performing daily truck inspections.
• Climbing ladders at some facilities to check gauges on bulk tanks.
