Qualifications

• High school diploma/General Education Degree (GED) or equivalent degree.
• 1 year of tractor-trailer experience preferred.
• Class A CDL required.
• Knowledge of safe lifting and delivery practices.
• Ability to read, write and communicate in English; basic math.
• Ability to train others on lift gates, ramps and equipment; prioritize work.

Responsibilities

• Move trucks and trailers per door assignments to complete loading and secure loads.
• Ensure refrigeration unit operates and trailer is ready before moving.
• Maintain sanitary conditions in warehouse and yard.
• Inspect equipment daily and inventory items needed for operations.
• Handle returns and log items in/out of stock.
• Account for load bars and hand trucks; arrange repairs as needed.
• Occasionally service terminals for refueling/repairs; track trip data.
• Picks up backhauls or delivers to customers/vendors as needed.
• Follow safe methods and report unsafe conditions.
• Operate equipment safely; communicate issues to management.
• Work assigned schedule and overtime; maintain attendance.
