Job summary

Rumpke Waste and Recycling in Henry County, IN is seeking a Tractor Trailer Driver. You will haul trailers of waste, recyclables, and leachate to disposal sites or customers, with responsibilities including pre/post trip inspections and safe loading.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and understand a map.
• Ability to work independently.
• Must read and speak English well enough to communicate and follow directions.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to operate equipment as needed.
• General knowledge of truck mechanics.
• 1–2 years CDL truck driving experience.
• Valid Class A CDL; Tanker Endorsement preferred.
• Licensed to operate both manual and automatic transmission preferred.

Responsibilities

• Operate tractor-trailer in a safe manner complying with regulations and company policies.
• Maintain and update route and driver logs.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and complete logs.
• Visually inspect load securement.
• Interact professionally with customers to provide service.
• Operate equipment to load trailers for hauling as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness of assigned truck.
• Assist other Roll Off operations as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
