Job summary

Katy ISD is seeking a Temporary Worker - Tractor Driver to safely operate district tractors and equipment on assigned routes. You will perform inspections, ensure cargo security, and communicate with dispatch to follow schedules while maintaining logs according to regulations.

Requires CDL with endorsements, Class A certification, and five years of driving experience, with strong English communication and a clean driving record. Open positions in Katy, TX.

Qualifications

• CDL with endorsements and Class A certification required.
• Minimum five years of vehicle driving experience.
• Clean driving record per TxDPS and Katy ISD.
• CDL and state certifications must be valid and current.
• Must communicate in English, written and verbal.

Responsibilities

• Operate Katy ISD Tractor and related equipment safely and legally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Maintain interior cleanliness after each route.
• Coordinate with dispatch and follow route changes.
• Log hours accurately per state and federal regulations.
• Secure cargo and balance load properly.
• Attend route practices and required trainings.
