Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator with a Class A CDL to transport cement from supply terminals to concrete plants. You will safely operate tanker trucks, perform proactive inspections, and maintain accurate delivery paperwork.

Eligible candidates have a valid CDL, DOT Medical Card, and at least 2 years of tanker driving experience. The role offers local/regional routes with regular home time, overtime after 8 hours, and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Tanker Endorsement helpful but not required.
• Current DOT Medical Card.
• Minimum of 2 years’ proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks.
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years.
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport.
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending, lifting, and climbing.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections for safety and compliance.
• Complete and maintain logbooks and delivery paperwork per DOT rules.
• Communicate with dispatch for delivery instructions and updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading and prevent spills or contamination.
• Follow routes, schedules, and safety procedures for material transport.
• Provide professional customer service at delivery sites.
