Job summary

SRM Concrete is seeking a safety-focused Tanker Operator to drive Class A tankers, delivering cement to our plants while upholding safety and customer service standards.

You will perform pre- and post-trip inspections, manage logs, and coordinate with dispatch to meet delivery timelines; bring a valid CDL and DOT medical card, plus 2 years of tanker experience. Join a team that values safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a DOT medical card
• Minimum of 2 years' proven experience driving Class A tanker trucks
• Clean driving record with no serious tickets or accidents in the last 5 years
• Strong knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards for material transport
• Physical ability to lift up to 100 pounds and perform bending/lifting/climbing
• Excellent time management and communication skills
• Willingness to undergo SRM's pre-employment screenings
• Commitment to SRM's 5 Principles of Service: Safety, Quality, Kindness, Cleanliness, and Go-Getter

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A tanker truck, transporting cement from terminals to SRM plant locations.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety and compliance.
• Accurately complete and maintain logbooks and delivery documentation per DOT regulations.
• Communicate proactively with dispatch to receive delivery instructions and provide route updates.
• Ensure secure loading/unloading of cement and prevent spillage or contamination.
• Follow established routes, schedules, and safety procedures for transporting materials.
• Provide exceptional customer service at delivery sites, representing SRM with professionalism.
• Promptly report any vehicle defects, accidents, or traffic violations.
• Stay current on safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices.
