Job summary

Altom Transport, Inc. is hiring for a tanker driver to safely operate bulk liquid transport equipment across the network. You will be responsible for loading, unloading, inspections, and accurate documentation while maintaining professional communication with dispatchers and customers.

Candidates must hold a valid CDL A, Tanker Endorsement, Hazmat endorsement (preferred), and a clean driving record. A TWIC card is preferred, with 2 years of tanker experience and strict compliance with safety

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A license.
• Current X endorsement (Hazmat + Tanker).
• Tanker Endorsement (N) – Required.
• Hazmat Endorsement (H) – Preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire).
• TWIC Card – Preferred (or obtain after hire).
• Minimum 2 years of verifiable tanker driving experience in last 5 years.
• At least 23 years of age.
• Clean MVR and strong safety record.
• Pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
• 1-week minimum new hire in-person training.
• Quarterly safety meetings.
• Forward-facing cameras on all Altom and contractor equipment.
• Able to pass safety and compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid materials.
• Load and unload using hoses, pumps, and valves with safety protocols.
• Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
• Adhere to DOT, EPA, and all applicable safety and regulatory guidelines.
• Represent Altom with professionalism during customer interactions.
