Job summary

Altom Transport, Inc. is seeking drivers to safely operate tanker trucks delivering bulk liquid chemicals and petroleum products across a wide network. The role requires a valid CDL A, Hazmat and Tanker endorsements (N), and strong safety performance.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL Class A License.
• Current X endorsement (Hazmat + Tanker) is required.
• Tanker Endorsement (N) required.
• Hazmat Endorsement (H) preferred (must obtain within 90 days).
• TWIC Card preferred (or after hire).
• Minimum 2 years verifiable tanker driving in last 5 years.
• At least 23 years old with clean MVR and safety record.
• No DUI/OWI in last 5 years; not prohibited in FMCSA Clearinghouse.
• No major accidents or excessive violations in last 5 years.
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screen, and background check.
• 1-week in-person training; quarterly safety meetings.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate tanker trucks transporting bulk liquid materials.
• Load and unload using hoses, pumps, and valves with safety protocols.
• Conduct and document pre- and post-trip inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip records, logs, and inspection reports.
• Communicate professionally with dispatchers and customers.
• Adhere to all safety and regulatory guidelines (DOT, EPA).
• Represent Altom with professionalism during customer interactions.
