Job summary

Altom Transport, Inc. is seeking dedicated Regional CDL A Tanker Drivers to safely transport liquid bulk materials across the country.

This role involves extended road time (5+ consecutive days) with flexible home time based on operations and driver preferences to maximize earnings while upholding safety standards. Key qualifications include a valid CDL Class A, Hazmat endorsement preferred, and 1+ year tanker experience.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year verifiable tanker driving experience.
• Must be 23 years of age or older.
• Hazmat endorsement preferred (must obtain within 90 days of hire; assistance available).
• TWIC Card preferred (or must obtain after hire).
• Able to pass DOT physical, drug screening, and background check.
• Strong safety record and clean MVR.

Responsibilities

• Drive long-haul routes across multiple regions to deliver bulk liquids safely and on time.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections to meet DOT and company safety policies.
• Safely load and unload tanker trailers using hoses and pumps while following safety protocols.
• Maintain accurate trip, inspection, and incident records for compliance.
• Communicate effectively with dispatch and customers to coordinate deliveries and schedules.
• Adhere to all federal, state, and local regulations governing hazardous materials transport.
• Maintain consistent mileage and workload to support operational efficiency and earnings.
