Job summary

Job description

Henner Tank Lines, Inc., a leading contract carrier, is currently seeking local Class-A drivers to join our team. As an employee-owned and locally operated company, we value our drivers as integral members of our family, not just as numbers in an out-of-state operation. $2000 Sign On Bonus!!!

Am and Pm shifts are open in our Gilroy terminal. We offer full-time employment at a four-on-three-off standard schedule. We have some flexibility in schedule options if you have special circumstances – first come first serve! Henner Tank Lines maintains year‑round steady work.

Gilroy terminal shifts hourly pay from $33/hr to $38/hr, plus overtime, depending on shift selection, and an added monthly safety performance bonus of $2/hr for every safe hour worked. We pay overtime on our bonuses as well – bonus paid monthly. We pay double‑time on company‑observed holidays.

Full weekend shifts (Saturday and Sunday included) pay $1 more per hour on top of the regular pay. All trucks are late‑model Peterbilt's with Beall tanks – some of the nicest in the industry.

Available Shifts:

• Gilroy AM (Sunday to Wednesday) – Starting wage $33/hr plus $2/hr safety bonus.
• Gilroy AM (Thursday to Sunday) – Starting wage $34/hr plus $2/hr safety bonus.
• Gilroy PM (Sunday to Wednesday) – Starting wage $35/hr plus $2/hr safety bonus.
• Gilroy PM (Wednesday to Saturday) – Starting wage $35/hr plus $2/hr safety bonus.

Requirements:

• Three years of verifiable Class-A driving experience.
• A current tanker endorsement.
• A current Haz‑mat endorsement.
• Doubles /Triples endorsement.
• A valid TWIC card.
• A current Medical Certificate.
• Pass a DOT Drug Test.
• Ability to conduct all operations in a safe manner.
• Requires getting into and out of the truck frequently.
• Must be able to work a 12‑hour shift.
• Must be able to lift and/or move 70 lbs. on a regular basis.
• A tanker driver must also be physically able to load and unload the tanker.

Responsibilities:

• The Petroleum Product Tanker Driver's responsibilities include safe product handling, product quality assurance, and product transportation consistent with regulatory compliance and company operating goals.
• The driver is responsible for the pick-up and the drop-off of Petroleum Products.
• The driver must keep the truck properly maintained and must follow all safe driving regulations.
• Maintains communication with dispatch about any delays or issues during the route/shift.
• Performs a daily DOT pre‑trip and post‑trip inspection checklist, informing maintenance personnel of any issues.
• Maintains a daily, legible DOT E‑log.
• Maintains the vehicle in a neat and tidy manner.
• Complies with all company safety & performance standards.

Job Type: Full‑time.

Salary Range: $33.00 to $38.00 /hour.

Additional Safety Bonus $2.00 /hour.

Home Time policy: Daily.

Orientation location: Vacaville.

Vehicle: Late Model Peterbilt's.
