Job summary

Core-Mark is hiring a Shuttle Driver in San Diego to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem tractors and straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, following DOT regulations and company safety policies.

Responsibilities include safety checks, securing loads, completing hours-of-service records, and maintaining clean, organized trailers and docks. 21+ with a valid CDL A and DOT Health Card preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• 6+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to ~90 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspect trailers for proper loading and securing freight.
• Ensure route paperwork is ready for dispatch.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to schedule.
• Perform hook/unhook procedures safely.
• Park and store trailers in designated areas.
• Ensure equipment and freight are secured.
