Job summary

Core-Mark, a Performance Food Group Company, is hiring a Driver, Shuttle to transport empty trailers to operating locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards in a safe, timely manner. You will interact professionally with customers and colleagues while adhering to DOT rules.

The role starts at $24/hr with a 4-day work week, starting Sunday night at 8:00 PM, with no touch freight and opportunities for growth within a large food distribution network.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience.
• 12+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement with experience.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements.
• Valid current DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift and move freight up to 90 pounds with equipment.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) and DOT inspections; ensures tractor/trailer meets safety standards.
• Reports safety issues and needed repairs.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; secures freight.
• Ensures route paperwork is ready for dispatch and drives on predetermined routes.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures and parks trailers in designated areas.
• Keeps equipment and freight secured and damages return to base for paperwork.
