Job summary

Core-Mark is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport trailers between domicile/shuttle yards and company warehouses, ensuring safe and timely deliveries. You will operate tandem and tractor-trailer equipment on intrastate routes, following DOT rules and company policies, and maintain accurate paperwork and safety checks.

Responsibilities include pre/post-trip inspections, documenting hours, securing loads, and coordinating with yard staff.

Qualifications

• Safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations
• Reports safety issues and repairs required
• Follows DOT regulations and company safety guidelines
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor/trailer
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines
• Parks and stores tractor trailers
• Ensures equipment/freight is secured
• Collects damaged goods and returns paperwork
• Unloads equipment and removes trash
• Completes daily hours of service logs per DOT
• General housekeeping in tractor/loading dock area
• Performs other related duties as assigned

Responsibilities

• Performs all required safety checks (pre/post trip) including inspections of tractor/truck and trailer according to DOT regulations.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines and policies; immediately reports safety hazards.
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Ensures all required route paperwork is with tractor trailer load and available to driver on dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to predetermined route schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures all equipment and freight are secured.
• Collects and secures damaged goods and customer returns in empty trailer.
• Unloads all equipment and remove trash from trailers as required.
• Completes daily log of hours of service per regulations.
• Performs general housekeeping duties in tractor, loading dock area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
