Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver in Georgia to transport trailers between yards and customers. You will operate tractor/trailer on intrastate routes, ensuring safe handling and timely deliveries while complying with DOT rules.

The role requires CDL A with doubles, 21+ years, and the ability to lift heavy freight; the position offers competitive pay and benefits beginning Day 1 of employment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet all State licensing and/or certification requirements (where applicable).
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Work required 3rd shift schedule, Sunday - Thursday nights (schedules may vary).
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Pass road test.
• Valid current DOT Health Card and/or able to secure new DOT Health Card.
• Able to hand-lift and utilize two-wheeler, lift gate and/or other equipment to move and/or stack product cases/freight.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations; inspects tractor/truck and trailer.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs.
• Follows all DOT regulations and company safety guidelines.
• Inspects trailer for properly loaded and secured freight.
• Ensures all required route paperwork is available at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers.
• Ensures all equipment and freight are secured.
• Completes daily record of hours of service.
• Performs housekeeping duties in tractor and loading dock area.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
