Job summary

Performance Food Group seeks a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The role requires safe, timely operation and adherence to DOT regulations, with communication across teams and customers.

The position includes night shifts (Sunday-Thursday), a focus on safety checks, load securement, and hours-of-service logging, with benefits and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 12 months commercial driving experience required.
• CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age and pass pre-employment drug test.
• DOT health card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) for tractor/truck and trailer per DOT regulations.
• Report safety issues and repairs as needed.
• Comply with DOT regulations and company safety policies; secure loads and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Drive/deliver trailers on predetermined routes and times; perform hook/unhook procedures.
• Park and store tractors/trailers; ensure equipment and freight are secured.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service records and log accordingly.
• Keep dock area and trailers clean; perform other duties as assigned.
