Job summary

Performance Foodservice in Charlotte, NC seeks a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to yard locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards. You will operate tandem/tractor/straight trucks on intrastate and interstate routes, complying with DOT regulations and safety guidelines.

The role requires 12+ months of commercial driving, a CDL A with Doubles endorsement, and availability for a 3rd shift Sunday–Thursday schedule. Competitive pay and benefits are provided from Day 1.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experience required.
• 12+ months of commercial driving experience required.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Must be 21 years of age and able to pass DOT health and road tests.

Responsibilities

• Pre/post trip safety checks and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver trailers according to route schedule.
• Hook/unhook procedures and secure freight.
• Maintain daily hours-of-service logs per regulations.
• Perform general housekeeping in yard and on trailers.
