Job summary

Performance Food Group (New) seeks a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouses and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yards, operating under DOT regulations. This role supports our distribution network with safety and efficiency, and offers per-trip pay with a $60,000–$65,000 annual base range.

Schedule is Sun–Thu with dispatch after 5pm. Qualifications include a CDL A with Doubles Endorsement, 21+ years old, clean MVR, ability to lift 60–90 pounds, and DOT health card.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• CDL Class A with Doubles Endorsement required.
• 21+ years old.
• Clean MVR in past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Must meet DOT Health Card requirements.
• Ability to lift 60–90 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations and inspects tractor/trailer for safety.
• Reports all safety issues and/or repairs required.
• Follows DOT regulations and company safe driving guidelines; reports hazards.
• Ensures route paperwork is with tractor/trailer at dispatch.
• Drives and delivers trailers according to schedule.
• Performs hook/unhook procedures per safety guidelines.
• Parks and stores tractor trailers in designated areas.
• Ensures equipment and freight are secured.
• Collects damaged goods and returns paperwork to base.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs.
• Performs general housekeeping in tractor and loading dock area.
