Job summary

Performance Food Group is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to warehouse locations and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations. The role requires operating tandem/tractor trailers and staying compliant with DOT regulations.

Responsibilities include safety checks, documenting hours, and ensuring secure loads. The position offers competitive pay and benefits with opportunities for growth within a fast-paced food distribution environment.

Qualifications

• 12 months commercial driving experience.
• High School Diploma/GED or equivalent.
• Valid CDL A with Doubles Endorsement.
• Must be 21 years of age.
• Meet state licensing/certification requirements where applicable.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Willingness to work 3rd shift; Sunday–Thursday nights.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Valid DOT Health Card or able to secure one.
• Able to lift 60–90 lbs and handle equipment throughout shift.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks (pre/post trip) on tractor/trailer per DOT.
• Report safety issues and needed repairs.
• Adhere to DOT regulations and company safety policies.
• Inspect trailer load security and required route paperwork.
• Drive and deliver trailers per route schedule; hook/unhook safely.
• Park and store tractors and trailers in designated areas.
• Secure freight and handle damaged goods/returns.
• Log hours of service per regulations and company rules.
• Maintain clean work areas in tractor and loading dock.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
