Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a Shuttle Driver to transport empty trailers to operating locations and return with full trailers, across intrastate and interstate routes.

Two weeks of training occur in Temple, TX, with a schedule of Sunday–Friday and 2:30pm–12am shifts, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus. Pay ranges from $60,000 to $70,000 annually, with comprehensive benefits beginning Day 1 and growth opportunities within the company.

Qualifications

• CDL A license with Doubles Endorsement required.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) for past 3 years.
• Ability to pass pre-employment drug test and road test.
• Familiarity with DOT regulations and safety checks.
• Experience driving tractor-trailers and/or straight trucks preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre/post trip safety checks on tractor/trailer per DOT regulations.
• Drive and deliver trailers on intrastate and interstate routes.
• Turn around and deliver full trailers to domicile/shuttle yard locations.
• Ensure proper loading, securing freight, and accurate route paperwork.
• Maintain logs of hours of service and comply with company policies.
