Staffmark Group in Elgin, IL is hiring a CDL A Shuttle Driver to shuttle full trailers, drop-and-hook, and return to Elgin with no-touch freight.

Requires CDL Class A, at least 1 year of CDL-A experience, clean MVR, and DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate. Pay is $29.50–$30.00 per hour with Sunday-Thursday 8pm-4am. Home daily with comprehensive benefits and local routes.

This opportunity is based on a CDL Class A Driver career path and is being offered by Staffmark to qualified candidates.

Job Duties

• Transport loaded trailers between company locations throughout Wisconsin, including Mauston, Madison, Milwaukee, Fond du Lac, and Pewaukee.
• Perform drop-and-hook operations by delivering full trailers to designated Penske or truck wash locations and connecting to empty trailers.
• Return equipment to the Elgin facility following route completion.
• Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and maintain DOT compliance.
• Ensure safe, on-time deliveries while following all company and transportation regulations.
• No-touch freight with no loading or unloading required.

Education Requirements

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL) required.
• Current DOT Medical Examiner's Certificate required as applicable.

Experience Requirements

• Minimum 1 year of CDL-A driving experience.
• Clean Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) with no more than 3 moving violations within the past 3 years.
• Must be at least 22 years of age.
• No DUI convictions within the past 5 years.
• No license suspensions related to moving violations within the past 3 years.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous local Class A CDL driving experience is preferred.
• Experience with dry van, refrigerated, flatbed, or dedicated route operations is beneficial.
• Knowledge of electronic logging devices (ELDs), transportation documentation, and freight securement is considered an asset.
• Drivers who demonstrate professionalism, dependability, and a strong safety mindset are well positioned for success as a CDL A Shuttle Driver.

Physical Capabilities

• Ability to sit for extended periods while safely operating a commercial vehicle.
• Ability to enter and exit the tractor and trailer multiple times throughout the workday.
• Ability to secure freight and handle cargo when required by the assignment.
• Ability to perform DOT-required vehicle inspections and work safely in changing weather conditions.
