Job summary

Liberty Tire Recycling is hiring a CDL A Route Driver in Madison, WI. You will safely operate the truck on assigned routes, load and secure tires with a Route Helper, and maintain accurate documentation while complying with DOT requirements.

The role emphasizes safety, customer interaction, and timely pickups, with daily pre-/post-trip procedures and strong teamwork within a two-person crew.

Qualifications

• Familiar with DOT & FMCSA regulations.
• Ability to safely operate Class A equipment on route-based collections.
• Capable of repetitive lifting and stacking of tires up to 50 lbs.
• Strong emphasis on safety, accuracy, and regulatory compliance.
• Able to work independently and as part of a two-person team.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a Class A commercial vehicle on assigned routes.
• Work with a Route Helper to load and stack tires manually.
• Load and secure tires weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Serve as primary contact at customer locations; collect signatures and documents.
• Ensure loads are stacked and secured per safety and DOT requirements.
• Perform pre-/post-trip inspections and report issues.
• Complete DOT logs, route paperwork, and bills of lading.
• Maintain clean, safe equipment and report maintenance needs.
• Communicate route status and issues with dispatch and customers.
• Navigate routes using maps, GPS, and dispatch guidance.
