Job summary

SST Direct is hiring an experienced CDL A Route Delivery Driver for a second shift in Shelbyville, KY. The role involves delivering products to customers, adhering to schedules, and maintaining accurate paperwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid Class A commercial driver’s license.
• Six months to one year of driving experience.
• Ability to speak and read English.
• Must comply with DOT, state, and local regulations.

• Able to lift 25 pounds overhead and perform physical tasks.
• Willing to work nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Meet established route schedules.
• Deliver products to customers in a timely manner.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area.
• Follow all company safety rules and procedures.
• Maintain required daily and weekly paperwork.
• Perform equipment checks and any required inspections.
• Cross-train on other routes as needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and customers.

Job description

DIRECT HIRE: A fantastic opportunity for an experienced CDL A Route Delivery Driver to join a dynamic team.

Location: Shelbyville, KY.

Pay: $24-$26hr depending on experience

Shift: Second- Monday - Friday (occasional weekends if needed). Hours: Start time is between 4pm and 9pm (depending on the route). 10 hour days.

Responsibilities for CDL A Route Delivery Driver

• Have excellent attendance
• Meet established route schedules
• Have good communication and customer service skills
• Follow all company safety rules
• Be able to work well with a diverse workforce
• Be able to follow directions given by their supervisor or manager
• Follow all company policies and proceduresPossess and maintain a positive attitude
• Maintain a safe, clean and organized work area in line with company policies
• Deliver the product to our customers in a timely manner
• Be able to work past the schedule, as production/delivery issues may arise
• Ability to properly maintain required daily and weekly paperwork
• Perform a daily visual inspection of the equipment
• Perform any other duties as supervisor/manager sees fit

Additional Responsibilities

• Cross-train on other routes per department needs
• Perform equipment moves to service provider for repairs and service as needed

Skills/Requirements for CDL A Route Delivery Driver

• Be able to sit in a vehicle for several hours per day
• Be able to push/pull soil/clean carts weighing up to 800 lbs. (on wheels)
• Must be able to consistently meet physical requirements such as bending, twisting, lifting, and pulling
• Valid Class A drivers license
• Adhere to all DOT, state, and local regulations
• Must have clean driving record per company policy
• Have six months to one-year experience
• Be available to drive nights and weekends
• Ability to speak and read the English language
• Ability to lift 25 pounds overhead
• Ability to stand, walk and climb stairs up to 10 hours per day
• Be able to use repetitive arm motions
