Job summary

SA Recycling is seeking a professional Truck Driver to move scrap metal using roll off/semi-trucks at our Balch Springs yard. The role follows DOT regulations and emphasizes safety, professionalism, and dependable performance.

You will load/unload, inspect materials, and coordinate with customers and the office to determine loads. The position offers full-time hours, benefits after 30 days, and weekly pay with company uniforms and PPE.

Qualifications

• 3 years CDL driving with consistent history.
• DOT medical exam and drug test required.
• Background check with clean MVR; comply with Clearinghouse.
• HS diploma or GED preferred.
• Bi-lingual (English & Spanish) a plus.
• Roll off and End Dump experience required.

Responsibilities

• Load and unload trucks hauling scrap metal; End Dump required.
• Inspect and determine metal grade for inventory tracking.
• Perform DOT daily operation and safety inspection.
• Communicate with office and customers to determine commodities to load.
• Work independently when driving scrap metal.
• Assist customers to satisfy needs and resolve problems.
• Coordinate with yard team to maintain a safe environment.
• Perform routine maintenance: refueling, lubrication, cooling system cleaning.
• Keep work area clean and organized at end of shift.
• Maintain regular attendance and punctuality.
• Organize materials to maximize space utilization.
• Dispose of waste materials properly.
• Inspect to ensure cleanup is complete.
• Maintain safety and hygiene in the workplace.
