Job summary

ABF Freight, part of ArcBest, is hiring road drivers in Atlanta to handle pickup and delivery of cargo trailers across long distances. You will operate tractors and trailers, perform inspections, and ensure safe, on-time deliveries.

Requirements include one year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience, a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazmat endorsements, and the ability to pass a DOT pre-employment screen. Shift days/hours vary by location, with weekly pay.

Qualifications

• One year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience; training possible for less than one year.
• Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and hazardous materials endorsements.
• Minimum 21 years of age.
• Safe driving record (MVR and previous employment).
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements.
• Shift days/hours vary by location and may include days, nights, weekends.

Responsibilities

• Coupling and uncoupling trailers from one another and from the tractor.
• Driving for an extended period of time.
• Performing check-in, tractor/trailer inspection, tractor setup and pickup/delivery of cargo.
• Duties and schedule may vary by terminal location.
