Job summary

ABF Freight, an ArcBest company, is seeking Road Drivers to handle pickup and delivery of cargo trailers across long-distance routes. You will couple/uncouple trailers, inspect equipment, and coordinate with terminals to ensure on-time deliveries.

Requirements include 1 year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience (training possible for 1 year or less), a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and HazMat endorsements, and DOT medical clearance.

Qualifications

• One year of verifiable tractor/trailer experience or training eligibility for candidates with less than 1 year.
• Must hold a Class-A CDL with doubles/triples, tanker and HazMat endorsements.
• DOT pre-employment drug screen and DOT medical requirements must be satisfied.

Responsibilities

• Couple and uncouple trailers from the tractor and from other trailers.
• Drive for extended periods as required by route and location.
• Perform checks: tractor/trailer inspections, setup, and cargo pickup/delivery.
• Duties and schedule may vary by terminal location.
