We are hiring Class A drivers in north Knox County for a refrigerated fleet based out of the Atlanta area. You haul temperature-controlled freight about 2,100 miles a week, earn around $1,200 a week, and come home every two weeks. Your first 3 months solo carry a $1,000 weekly minimum. New CDL holders train with a mentor and are paid $650 a week while they learn. Drivers with 6 months or more of recent experience go solo after orientation.
You pull a refrigerated trailer. Most loads are live load and live unload, so some days include time at the dock. You do not unload by hand; the dock does.
Reefer freight moves every day of the year. Weekends and holidays are worked, and that is why the miles stay up.
You are paid by direct deposit every week, plus a performance bonus program.
A recruiter calls and reviews your license and record. Orientation takes two days at most, with your hotel covered and your bus ticket paid back, and pays $300 once you are hired. Then you train with a mentor for 3 to 5 weeks, about 200 to 250 hours. After that you get your own assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average. If you already have 6 months of OTR experience in the last 12 months, you skip the mentor and start solo.
Medical, dental, vision and prescription. 401(k) and employee stock purchase plan. Paid time off. A free online degree for you and one family member. Approved riders and one dog under 40 pounds after training.
Equal Opportunity Employer. All qualified applicants are considered regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, disability, or protected veteran status.
