Job summary

Qualdoc is seeking a Class A CDL Railroad Equipment Operator in Candor, NC. The role focuses on emergency railroad recovery and field operations with limited driving and extensive crane/excavator use.

Candidates should have 3+ years of heavy equipment experience, be able to perform rigging, and participate in safety briefings. Expect 60+ hour weeks, with 24/7 on-call availability and overtime opportunities.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with a good driving record.
• 3+ years of heavy equipment operation in construction or field work.
• Willingness for 24/7 emergency response, including weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate cranes, excavators, backhoes, and other heavy equipment.
• Inspect loads and permits for oversize/overweight transport.
• Perform rigging with chains, cables, and winches; handle maintenance.
• Support emergency railroad recovery, track work, and related construction activities.
• Load/unload and secure equipment; monitor safety and performance.
