Job summary

American Pump & Drilling is seeking a Pump Rig Operator to support field operations based out of Ucon, Idaho. You will drive and operate a pump rig, perform preventative maintenance, and keep accurate maintenance logs for assigned vehicles and equipment.

The role requires a Class A CDL with airbrakes and 2+ years of turbine pump and pump rig experience. Occasional travel within ~200 miles and strict safety adherence are expected to ensure timely project completion.

Qualifications

• Current Class A CDL (with airbrakes), required.
• 2+ years experience with turbine pumps
• 2+ years experience running a pump rig
• 2+ years experience running a boom truck
• 2+ years experience managing a crew of 2-3
• Experience wiring pump motors
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems on equipment and pumps
• Ability to lift and operate heavy tools
• Experience or willingness to learn troubleshooting and repair of submersible pumps
• Willingness to travel within 200 miles and stay overnight (very infrequent, if at all) as needed to complete jobs
• Willing to adhere to strict safety rules and regulations
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate a pump rig
• Troubleshoot pump assemblies
• Properly install and remove column assemblies for pumps
• Perform preventative maintenance on pump rigs and service trucks
• Maintain documentation for work performed
• Prepare and keep a maintenance log for assigned vehicles and equipment
