Wooster Motor Ways in Ohio is seeking a dependable, safety-conscious Company Driver to haul freight on our regional lanes. This role offers steady miles, a supportive team, and a transparent pay structure that rewards safe, experienced drivers.

You will operate Class A tractors, perform pre-trip inspections, load and secure cargo including hazmat when required, and maintain DOT logs. Local routes mean home daily and a competitive weekly pay between $1,300 and $1,600.

Qualifications

• Valid CDL required or equivalent with Class A license.
• HazMat endorsement preferred, not required.
• High School Diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight regionally.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat procedures as needed.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance to keep equipment ready.

Pneumatic Drivers – Local

• Freight Type: Powdered cement

• Local Routes: Home daily | Average pay $1,300–$1,600 per week

• Benefits: Daily or weekend home time depending on route, stable freight, and professional work environment

• Starting Compensation: 25% of Line Haul
• 90 day Increase to: 28% of Line Haul

Additional Pay for all Driver Types

Equipment:

Our International LT trucks come fully equipped with a microwave, refrigerator, TV, premium driver’s seat, and an auxiliary power unit (APU) for your comfort on the road.

WHAT YOU'LL DO

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight, general commodities, and specialized cargo.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects, accidents, or violations promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow special handling procedures for hazmat or temperature-sensitive freight.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures/receipts, and ensure all paperwork is complete and correct.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance (fluids, minor repairs); keep trailer clean and ready.

REQUIREMENTS

• Valid Class A CDL — required.
• HazMat endorsement preferred not required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• TWIC card preferred not required.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.
