Ohio Logistics is seeking a reliable CDL Driver to safely pick up and deliver freight, perform inspections, and ensure compliance with DOT regulations. The role emphasizes safety, professional representation, and customer service.

You will plan efficient routes, perform necessary inspections, and handle required paperwork with accuracy while benefiting from home daily routes and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and service.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Hook and unhook trailers and operate landing gear as needed.
• Complete and submit reports, logs, and trip documents accurately and on time.
• Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs) are properly completed, signed, and delivered.
• Report accidents, delays, breakdowns, or other emergencies immediately.
• Follow company policies and federal, state, local, and DOT regulations.
• Foster a team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with forklift operations and other duties as assigned.

Job description

We are seeking a reliable and safety-focused CDL Driver to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient pickup and delivery of freight, equipment inspections, route management, and maintaining compliance with all company and DOT regulations. The ideal candidate takes pride in providing excellent service, maintaining equipment, and representing the company in a professional manner.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and maintain efficient delivery routes to maximize productivity and service.
• Conduct thorough pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles and equipment.
• Hook and unhook trailers, including operating landing gear as needed.
• Complete and submit required reports, logs, and trip documentation accurately and on time.
• Ensure Bills of Lading (BOLs) are properly completed, signed, and delivered.
• Immediately report accidents, delays, breakdowns, traffic issues, weather impacts, or other emergencies.
• Follow all company policies and federal, state, local, and DOT regulations.
• Foster a positive attitude and contribute to a team-oriented work environment.
• Assist with forklift operations and other duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

Required

• Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Safe driving record.
• Ability to read, write, and perform basic mathematical calculations.
• Working knowledge of vehicle safety systems and operating procedures.
• Knowledge of DOT regulations, Hours of Service (HOS), inspections, and maintenance requirements.
• High School Diploma or GED.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to sit for extended periods.
• Minimum vision of 20/40 (with corrective lenses if needed).
• Ability to secure loads and perform all physical functions required to maintain a valid CDL.
• Regular interaction with trucks, trailers, freight, and heavy equipment.
• Exposure to varying weather conditions while operating on the road.
