Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is hiring a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul freight regionally. Local pneumatic routes with home daily, averaging $1,300–$1,600 per week. Includes benefits, steady miles, and a team-oriented work environment.

Starting compensation is 25% of line haul with increases to 28% after 90 days; additional pay for stops, short hauls, detention, and hazmat loads. CDL A required; HazMat preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Hazmat endorsement is preferred but not required.
• Must pass DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractors to transport freight on local/regional lanes.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report defects.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat or temperature handling rules as needed.
• Maintain accurate logs and DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Plan routes to meet pickup and delivery windows and communicate with dispatch.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep equipment clean.
