Job summary

Wooster Motor Ways, Inc. is hiring a dependable, safety-first Company Driver to haul freight on regional lanes. The Local Pneumatic Driver role offers home daily on most routes, with an average pay of $1,300–$1,600 per week and a benefits package including medical, dental, and vision coverage.

Starting compensation is 25% of line haul, with a potential 90-day increase to 28%. Additional pay exists for stops, short hauls, detention, and hazmat loads.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL required.
• HazMat endorsement preferred but not required.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Must pass and maintain all DOT/FMCSA physical requirements.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A tractor-trailers to transport freight.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip inspections; report defects promptly.
• Load, secure, and inspect cargo; follow hazmat or temperature-sensitive handling procedures.
• Maintain accurate HOS logs and all required DOT/FMCSA documentation.
• Verify bills of lading, collect signatures, and ensure paperwork is complete.
• Plan routes and schedules to meet pickup and delivery windows.
• Perform basic vehicle maintenance and keep trailer clean.
