Job summary

Universal Logistics Holdings is actively hiring Owner Operators to join their team. The role involves planning routes, meeting schedules, and performing safety inspections while maintaining compliance with regulations. You will communicate with dispatchers and customers to provide delivery status and support.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of tractor trailer experience.
• Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) Class A required.
• Must obtain TWIC & Hazmat within 60 days from start date.
• Proven experience as a truck driver with a clean driving record.
• Familiarity with GPS devices and navigation tools.
• Ability to operate both manual and automatic transmission vehicles.
• Strong communication skills for effective interaction with team members and clients.

Responsibilities

Company Overview

Universal Intermodal services all major US Ports and intermodal Rail Ramps and offers domestic door-to-door drayage to and from Ports, Rails, and Customer Facilities.

Responsibilities

• Plan routes and meet delivery schedules efficiently.
• Perform pre-trip, enroute, and post-trip inspections of vehicle systems and equipment.
• Maintain accurate records and other expenses.
• Ensure compliance with all federal and state regulations regarding transportation.
• Communicate effectively with dispatchers and customers regarding delivery status.
