Job summary

American Driver LLC in Orangeburg County, SC is hiring recent CDL-A graduates for an OTR reefer seat. You start with $650 per week during training, then earn $1,300 to $1,500 per week as a solo driver, with home time every two weeks.

After orientation, you ride with a mentor for 3–5 weeks, then solo with a $1,000 weekly guarantee for the first three months. Expect long hauls across the East and Midwest, with days or overnights.

• Maintain required miles weekly and meet schedule around two-week home time.

We're hiring recent CDL-A grads in Orangeburg, Bowman and Orangeburg County for an OTR reefer seat. You earn $650 a week in training, then $1,300 to $1,500 a week solo, and you're home every two weeks.

Wondering what the job feels like? Here's a regular day once you're solo.

You wake up in your sleeper. It's your assigned truck, about 1.5 years old on average, automatic or 10-speed. You do your pre-trip, check the reefer unit and roll.

The trailer is loaded and cold. You drive it across the East or Midwest, sometimes by day and sometimes overnight. At the receiver, you back in, hand over paperwork and wait. You don't unload. That's the dock's job.

Short hauls pay $100 flat. By the end of the week you've logged at least 1,900 miles, often up to 2,800. Drivers average $1,300 to $1,500 a week, plus a monthly performance bonus. Every two weeks, you head home.

How you get there

After an orientation of two days at most, with the hotel covered, bus fare reimbursed and $300 earned once hired, you ride with a mentor for 3 to 5 weeks (200–250 hours) at $650 a week. Your first three months solo come with a $1,000 weekly guarantee.
