Job summary

American Driver LLC in the Richmond area seeks Class A drivers for OTR lanes staying east of the Mississippi, with home time every two weeks and a paid start for new grads. You’ll train with a paid mentor before moving to solo pay as you gain experience.

Expect 1,900–2,300 miles weekly at $0.55–$0.65 per mile with weekly direct deposit. Benefits begin after 30 days, including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), and paid time off.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL in home state, 21 or older
• New grad (120+ hours) or verifiable experience
• Acceptable driving record, no more than 2 moving violations in 2 years
• No DUI/DWI in the past 10 years
• DOT physical, hair and urine screen

Richmond-area Class A drivers: OTR lanes that stay east of the Mississippi, home every two weeks, and a paid start if you're new.

Finished CDL school and looking for your first real seat? You'll train with a mentor first, paid, then move to full solo pay. The freight rarely crosses the Mississippi, so you stay in familiar country and your miles hold steady.

Earnings

• $1,200 to $1,700 a week, about $62,400 to $88,400 a year
• $0.55 a mile to start, up $0.01 a year to $0.65
• 1,900 to 2,300 miles a week
• $15 per stop after the first
• Weekly direct deposit

The week

OTR lanes across the eastern states, drop-and-hook and live freight in the mix. Out about two weeks, then home for your reset. Planned loads, day and night dispatch.

New grad path

• 120 school hours qualifies you

Your truck

Assigned, take-home, automatic or 10-speed, about 1.5 years old, 24/7 dispatch.
