Job summary

Genesis Energy, L.P. is seeking an experienced driver to operate an 18-wheel tractor and tank trailer, hauling crude oil from field locations to pipelines or refineries. You will perform safety checks, monitor product flow, and complete required paperwork.

The role requires a valid Class A CDL with Tank and HazMat endorsements, a DOT medical exam, and a clean driving history. Fluency in English is required, with TWIC preferred and a safety-sensitive work environment.

Qualifications

• Valid Class A CDL with Tank and HazMat (X) endorsements.
• Must pass DOT medical exam and drug/alcohol screenings.
• Must have a clean driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last 3 years.
• Fluent reading, writing and speaking English.
• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• TWIC card preferred.
• Subject to DOT safety-sensitive requirements and testing.

Responsibilities

• Drive and operate an 18-wheel tractor to transport crude oil from field to pipeline injection point or refinery.
• Open and close valves to control product flow; climb storage tanks to gauge volume.
• Test product using onboard centrifuge and spin for 5 minutes.
• Record bottom sediment, water percent, temperature and gravity of the product.
• Log haul volume and run tickets into a handheld computer.
• Prepare driver’s Daily Report and other paperwork.
• Inspect truck, tires, tank and surroundings for safety and ensure equipment is in proper working order.
• Report hauled volume for accounting, revenue and payroll purposes.
• Actively participate in and promote the Company's safety programs.
