Job summary

Gordon Food Service in Madison, WI is seeking a CDL A Transit Driver for night routes, delivering loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin.

You'll be home daily and start evenings from around 5-7 PM, with minimal case loading/unloading and opportunities for relay deliveries to longer yards.

Qualifications

• Class A CDL license at hire or within 90 days.
• Doubles endorsement required.
• Pass pre-employment drug test and background check.

Responsibilities

• Operate Class A vehicles on nightly routes delivering to drop yards across Wisconsin.
• Stay home daily; schedule: Sunday-Thursday nights, start 5–7 PM.
• Load/unload minimal case handling; relay deliveries to farther yards as needed.

CDL A Transit Driver

Location : 910 Oscar Ave, Madison, WI

Do you have a passion for driving and customer service? Picture yourself as a transit with Gordon Food Service! Night shifts and transit routes mean you'll be home daily for the things that really matter. You'll be driving loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin and taking empty trailers to the distribution center in Kenosha. In this role you could run a relay delivery for some of our farther out drop yards with minimal case loading/unloading (returned products only). Feel safe and secure at a company that values and respects you.

Schedule : Sunday-Thursday nights. Start times will vary but usually start around 5-7PM

Does this look like you?

• At least 21 years of age
• Class A CDL License at hire or within 90 days of start date
• Must have doubles endorsement
• Successfully pass a drug test that will assess drug usage (including marijuana) and a background check
• Clean driving record; as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards
• You must be registered through the Department of Transportation Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent in order to be considered for employment with us effective January 6th, 2020.
