Job summary

Gordon Food Service is hiring a CDL A Transit Driver in Madison, WI. You will drive loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin and return trailers to the Kenosha distribution center, with possible relay deliveries. Night shifts are Sunday through Thursday, usually starting between 5 and 7 PM.

You must meet safety and regulatory requirements and maintain a clean driving record. Benefits include weekly pay, wellness reimbursement, profit sharing and a 401(k) with company match.

Qualifications

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Class A CDL License at hire or within 90 days of start date.
• Must have doubles endorsement.
• Successfully pass a drug test and background check.
• Clean driving record as required by DOT and Gordon Food Service standards.
• Must be registered through the DOT Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse and provide electronic consent.

Responsibilities

• Drive loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin and take empty trailers to the distribution center in Kenosha.
• Possibly run relay deliveries to farther drop yards with minimal case loading/unloading.
• Work night shifts with routes that usually start around 5–7 PM (Sunday–Thursday).
• Be home daily for important personal commitments.
• Represent Gordon Food Service with safety and customer service at the forefront.

CDL A Transit Driver

Location:910 Oscar Ave, Madison, WI

Do you have a passion for driving and customer service? Picture yourself as a transit with Gordon Food Service! Night shifts and transit routes mean you'll be home daily for the things that really matter. You'll be driving loaded trucks to drop yards around Wisconsin and taking empty trailers to the distribution center in Kenosha. In this role you could run a relay delivery for some of our farther out drop yards with minimal case loading/unloading (returned products only).
