Job summary

Performance Foodservice is seeking a CDL-A Driver to deliver and unload food products, ensuring timely, accurate, and safe deliveries across intrastate and interstate routes. Expect a 5-day work week (Mon-Sat, no Sundays) with flexible days off and occasional overnight layovers depending on routes.

The role emphasizes safety, DOT compliance, and customer-facing service as part of our critical supply chain. Competitive pay and comprehensive benefits are provided starting Day 1.

Qualifications

• Must have at least 12 months of commercial driving experience.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Meets MVR requirements for past 3 years.
• Pass pre-employment drug test.
• Meet FMCSA Clearinghouse requirements.
• Pass road test.
• Able to secure a DOT Medical Card.

Responsibilities

• Perform safety checks pre/post trip and inspections per DOT regulations.
• Follow DOT regulations and company safety guidelines; report hazards.
• Inspect trailer loads, verify invoices, and complete required freight paperwork.
• Lock and secure tractor, trailer, and freight; unload damaged goods and returns.
• Maintain daily records and comply with hours-of-service rules.
• Adhere to safety standards during the delivery process; perform other duties as assigned.
