Job summary

Performance Food Group in Roanoke, VA is seeking CDL-A delivery drivers to join our night dispatch routes, delivering food and related products to customers while upholding safety and DOT compliance. You will be the face of the company, building long-term relationships with customers and ensuring timely, accurate deliveries on intrastate and interstate routes.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent.
• 6+ months commercial driving experience.
• Valid CDL-A license.
• Must be 21+ years of age.
• Clean MVR for past 3 years.
• Pass post offer drug test and criminal background check.
• Pass road test.
• DOT Health Card current or able to secure one.

Responsibilities

• Communicates with customers, vendors and co-workers professionally.
• Performs safety checks (pre/post trip) per DOT regulations.
• Drives to deliver customer orders according to route schedule.
• Unloads products and assists with loading as needed.
• Completes daily hours-of-service logs per company and DOT requirements.
• Ensures paperwork is accurate and legible for freight.
