Job summary

McCoy’s is seeking a delivery driver to transfer products, goods, and other merchandise from one location to another. You will drive company vehicles to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware to customers’ homes, construction sites, or places of business.

Responsibilities include collecting COD payments, verifying orders, loading, and providing courteous customer service. You may assist in the yard and warehouse when not driving, and must follow safety standards and SOPs.

Qualifications

• Customer-facing delivery experience is a plus.
• Ability to read and follow delivery instructions.
• Knowledge of DOT requirements is beneficial.
• Must be able to operate company vehicles and safety equipment.

Responsibilities

• Drive to deliver lumber, building materials, hardware, and related supplies to customers.
• Collect COD payments and record customer information per SOP.
• Verify order details and obtain customer signatures on tickets.
• Use navigation tools to locate delivery addresses efficiently and document delivery info.
• Load and unload materials safely and maintain vehicle cleanliness.
• Assist in yard/warehouse tasks like stocking and organizing materials when not driving.
• Provide courteous customer service and resolve issues when they arise.
• Comply with safety standards and company policies; operate a forklift as needed.
